PLEASE NOTE: Not all materials below have been 100% grown in / foraged from our area. We’re currently working to rebuild an infrastructure that supports this sort of place-based manufacturing— we aren’t totally there yet! In the meanwhile, our Value Chain Directory members are committed to working towards that end & deeply share in the spirit of local making, ethical materials, and and care for our place and people. Supporting them is one way to say, “You know, I WOULD like to see more resources go towards creating materials of and for this place." So please consider a gift for a loved one (or yourself!) below.

Cohort 3 One Year, One Outfit Zine Fundraiser!
Get a behind-the-scenes look at the One Year, One Outfit Cohort 3 AND Help us raise funds for the next OYOO Cohort!
This zine gives the behind-the-scenes scoop on the processes behind the 25+ participating artists for our third cohort of One Year, One Outfit.
You can help fund our printing of the zine + Cohort 3 exhibition costs by pre-ordering the One Year, One Outfit Zine as a part of our fundraising campaign!
Then, come see the outfits in person! This year the exhibition will be in Pittsburgh at Brew House Arts. The exhibition opens on September 13 and closes on October 18. Stay tuned for joining Cohort 4 in February 2026!
One year, One Outfit is a cohort-based project that responds to consumerism and the damaging effects of fast fashion. Folks who reside in the Rust Belt Fibershed region (within 250 miles of Cleveland) create an outfit through a soil-to-soil supply chain: fiber and dyes are grown, harvested, and made into a garment, and all garments are able to return to the soil at the end of their life cycle. Many outfits are created in partnership with other members of the cohort and with farmers, fiber guilds, community gardens, and/or local art studios. The project is built around skill and tool sharing and a shared passion to solve problems by looking at our regional and personal talents, passions, and gifts. The project aims to create a paradigm shift towards relating to the Earth and our communities with care and is organized by the Rust Belt Fibershed as an invitation for us to question the origin of our clothes.
