Dye Garden Crash Course (Online)
Saturday, March 4, 2023 2pm-3:30pm
via Zoom
Class Fee: $15 benefitting Rust Belt Fibershed
Looking to grow some natural color in your own garden? This class will help you look forward to spring and getting your hands in the dirt by covering types of dye plants suited to the Rust Belt region, how to start them from seed, and suggestions on how to raise them, even in containers and other small spaces. A great introduction to gardening, this class will give you the confidence to start growing, even if you've doubted having a "green thumb." Following class, participants will receive an 40+ page pdf resource that covers considerations for starting and maintaining a dye garden and index of plants.
Amber has volunteered to generously donate the proceeds from this workshop to support the One Year, One Outfit project needs. This includes materials for the exhibition, local programming, and publication materials. We are hoping to raise at least $1,000 towards this project. Your purchase supports our work— thank you so much! You can purchase a ticket here, and/or donate any additional funds here.
