Value Chain Producer:
Frayed Knot Farm
Frayed Knot is now a team of three passionate farmers with that have collectively created dozens of partnerships within the community that align with this same mission. This includes RBF and the Rustbelt Linen Project.
Alongside cut flower production, Frayed Knot also proudly grows flax for fiber production and has helped support education efforts on this topic since the projects inception. Frayed Knot flowers are produced for a community supported agriculture program (bouquet subscription), wedding florals and a wholesale collaborative of local farmers known as 'The Collab'.

Frayed Knot Farm was started in 2017 on open land previously stewarded by the founder, Emily's grandparents for 50 years previous. Emily's extended family has been living and working in the surrounding community for close to a century. Frayed Knot was started from the literal ground up with a vision to bring more locally grown flowers to the floriculture market while also investing in the regeneration of soil and subsequently our ecosystem.
Frayed Knot is now moving into its eighth season and the mission to grow beautiful, diverse cut flowers and herbs that share stories, bring joy and support equitable and regenerative farming is more true than ever.
